My Clients
I typically work with adults dealing with anxiety (including imposter syndrome), depression, trauma/PTSD, LGBTQIA issues (including gender identity issues), or chronic illness/disability. I also have significant experience working with clients on the autism spectrum, clients in non-traditional relationships, service members and veterans, and third culture kids. I strive to create a stigma-free environment, and work with clients from all lifestyles. Come as you are.
Every act of perception is, to some degree, an act of creation, and every act of memory is, to some degree, an act of imagination.

My Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Texas (license no. 67310) and Illinois (license no. 149.018728) with over a decade of experience in the field. I’ve worked in hospitals, schools, substance use treatment centers, and on the streets as a community mental health provider. Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher, a fencing instructor, a sailor, a SCUBA diver, and a world traveller. When I’m not tinkering with brains I enjoy trees, food, and video games. I have two cats and one human.
Booking an Appointment
I typically have availability mornings/lunchtimes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and I occasionally have openings Tuesday evenings. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna PPO insurances. If you’re ready to book your first session, you can easily do so online here: https://mynpc.clientsecure.me. If you have questions before getting started, you can instead book a free 15-minute phone consultation at the same site.
