The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

My Background
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors in Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences in 2012 and with a Masters in Counselor Education in 2014. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I’ve been a practicing clinician since 2012 and have primarily worked in inpatient/outpatient treatment programs for Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring Disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. Working in higher levels of treatment has provided me with opportunities to work with all demographics of people and their families.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy. Systems theory helps me understand how external resources and obstacles may contribute to underlining issues and treatment goals. Additionally, I utilize the umbrella of Cognitive Behavioral Theory to help with all the mental obstacles (such as negative self-talk or low self-worth) one may face when attempting to make changes. I also am Level II trained in EMDR for when a person needs more than just talk therapy for single-event traumas and/or more complex traumas.
When it comes to therapy, the client is the captain of the boat. I’m here to support clients in their journey and make observations along the way. It’s an absolute honor to hear my clients' stories, their experiences, what motivates them, their greatest fears, and what their short and long term goals are. The perseverance I witness on a daily basis has continued my interest in helping improve the human condition.
Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work, but It’s worth the effort.
